Sheet-connected pipelines
Build-along · ~12 min at your own keyboard
The pipeline pattern: a workflow gathers or computes, and its last step writes rows into a sheet (via API or file). The sheet stays the interface your business already knows; the filling becomes invisible. Perfect for a lead tracker that fills itself.
Your starter: Delinquent-list pipeline
Workflow stepsMake it yours: Name your county's actual list format and columns, set your acreage and years-delinquent filters, and decide the one reason a row gets dropped on sight.
DELINQUENT LIST: [county], file at [path], run [date] 1. Read the list. Keep the columns: parcel number, owner as spelled, situs or legal, acreage, years delinquent, amount due. 2. Drop rows: improved parcels, under [acres] acres, inside [city limits], owner is a government or a utility. 3. For each kept row write a line: parcel, owner, acreage, years, amount, and [PULL THE RECORD: assessor card] as the next step. 4. Sort by years delinquent, then acreage. 5. Write to [sheet], tab '[county]-[date]'. Record first, then the number: no column gets a value the list did not have. Do not look up owners. Do not estimate value. Do not draft a letter.
The coach checks that what you paste back is your own work. The starter pasted back unchanged won't pass.
