Map the 1031 clock without giving tax advice

Lesson 6 of 6 · Hold it

1 · Learn the move · Verified-data override

A holder who sells one parcel to buy a better-placed one often wants to defer the tax through a like-kind exchange, and the exchange runs on a clock with no forgiveness in it. The trap has two sides. One is a model that computes deadlines from periods it remembers, which may be right, and which you cannot check against anything you hold. The other is a model that drifts into telling you what qualifies. Verified-data override closes both. The model computes only from what you pasted: the closing date on your settlement statement, and the identification and exchange periods as your intermediary's agreement words them. If the agreement does not state a period, the period is [NEEDS], not remembered. Every computed date shows its arithmetic and a verify tag. The tax return date that can cut the exchange period short is flagged for the CPA, never computed. And one fact comes before any date: if the proceeds reached you or your entity, there may be no exchange left to time.

Map my exchange dates from the documents below only. Closing date from the settlement statement. Periods exactly as the intermediary agreement words them, quoted with section. Arithmetic shown, each date tagged [COMPUTED - verify on a calendar and with the intermediary]. First: where did the proceeds go, per the statement? Flag the tax return date for my CPA; do not compute it. [settlement statement] [intermediary agreement] [candidate parcels]

2 · Your turn. You write the prompt

Your LLC sold a 9-acre parcel in Tollan County it held for seven years. You want to exchange into a tract adjoining land you already hold in Quarrow County, or one of two others. An intermediary was engaged before closing. You have the settlement statement and the intermediary agreement, and nothing is identified yet. Write the prompt that maps the clock from your own documents and hands the tax questions to the people who answer them.

Write the prompt for this scenario as given, or swap in a real one from your own work. The score works the same either way.

Remember: the AI sees only your prompt, not this page. If the situation isn't in your prompt, it doesn't exist.

Optional. These shape the output when you run your prompt below, not your score.
