The owner letter that does not smell like mail merge

Lesson 2 of 6 · Assemble the block

1 · Learn the move · Persona + value framing

The owner of the lot beside yours has had the letter before. 'I buy land in your area.' 'Cash, as-is.' When you are assembling, the mail-merge smell costs more than a lost reply: this is a neighbour you may be talking to for years, and the first letter sets the tone for all of it. Persona plus value framing puts the model in the owner's chair (what would make me keep reading?) and makes it open with one fact about their land that a pasted record proves, then offer something genuinely useful before it asks for anything. Two hard lines hold. The letter never says anything false about why you are writing, and how much of your plan you share is a decision you make with counsel, not one the model fills in. And it never names a figure, a buyer, or a reason the owner might want out.

Write a first letter to the owner of the lot next to mine, from her chair. Open with one fact about her parcel that a record below proves. Offer something useful before any ask. No figure, no buyer claim, no guess at her circumstances, nothing false about why I am writing. Under 150 words. Above the letter, list each fact used with its source. Below it, the checks I must clear before it sends.

2 · Your turn. You write the prompt

You have held parcel 07-2218-014 on Fennick Road in Corvane, Oskar County since 2021. The lot on your west side, 07-2218-013, belongs to Loretta Haskins, who bought it in 1996 and has her tax bill sent out of state. Your own survey from last spring sets the shared line. You want her to know you exist, and to have a reason to write back, long before you mention buying. Write the prompt.

Write the prompt for this scenario as given, or swap in a real one from your own work. The score works the same either way.

Remember: the AI sees only your prompt, not this page. If the situation isn't in your prompt, it doesn't exist.

Optional. These shape the output when you run your prompt below, not your score.
