Spot the junk parcel before you mail it

Lesson 4 of 6 · Build the list, then scrub it

1 · Learn the move · Examples + few-shot

Every list carries parcels you will never buy: a thirty-foot strip along a ditch, a drainage lot the subdivision still owns, a parcel coded as road right of way, a sliver left over from a highway taking. Mail them and you pay postage to start conversations you will end. Describing junk in general terms gets you a general answer. Showing it works better: paste three or four rows you already learned were junk, each with the reason in one line, and ask the model to flag new rows that match those patterns, naming which example and which cell triggered it. This is a desk skim of the export before postage, not diligence. The model may say a row LOOKS LIKE pattern 2; it may not say a parcel is unbuildable, has no access or is worthless, because an export row cannot show any of that. Flags go to a hold file for a thirty-second map check, not to the bin.

Below are four rows I already know were junk, each with the reason. Use them as the pattern. Then read the new rows and flag any that LOOK LIKE one of my examples, naming the example and the cell that matched. Never state that a parcel has no access, cannot be built on, or is worthless. Flagged rows go to HOLD, not delete. [my junk examples] [new rows]

2 · Your turn. You write the prompt

Last campaign in Brannock County you mailed forty parcels that turned out to be strips, common areas and road remnants. You kept four of those rows with notes. You have 600 new rows ready to mail. Write the prompt that uses your four as the pattern for a pre-mail skim.

Write the prompt for this scenario as given, or swap in a real one from your own work. The score works the same either way.

Remember: the AI sees only your prompt, not this page. If the situation isn't in your prompt, it doesn't exist.

Optional. These shape the output when you run your prompt below, not your score.
