Ringless voicemail scripts, 20 seconds
Lesson 3 of 6 · Reach them without mail
1 · Learn the move · Multi-persona
A voicemail dropped without the phone ringing is short, cheap and easy to scale, and whether it counts as a call under calling rules is a question that has been argued more than one way. That makes the legal question counsel's before anything is recorded. The craft question is length: twenty seconds is roughly fifty spoken words, and every one has a job. The way to test a script that short is to hear it in more than one chair. The owner hears a stranger on their voicemail. The owner's adult child, who checks an elderly parent's phone, hears someone after their mother's land. A complaint reviewer listens for what is missing: a name, a business, a callback number, a way to stop. Run the draft through all three listeners, collect what each one objects to, and revise once for all of them.
Write a voicemail script, about 50 spoken words. Then read it as three listeners: the owner, the owner's adult child checking their phone, and a complaint reviewer. List each listener's objections. Revise once to answer all three. Label it NOT CLEARED TO RECORD.
2 · Your turn. You write the prompt
You want to add ringless voicemail to a Marsh County campaign aimed at owners with out-of-state mailing addresses, many of them older. Your draft script runs forty seconds and opens with 'Great news about your property'. Write the prompt that cuts it to twenty and tests it on the people who will actually hear it.
Write the prompt for this scenario as given, or swap in a real one from your own work. The score works the same either way.
Remember: the AI sees only your prompt, not this page. If the situation isn't in your prompt, it doesn't exist.
Optional. These shape the output when you run your prompt below, not your score.
