Land-wanted ads and marketplace posts
Lesson 5 of 6 · Reach them without mail
1 · Learn the move · Cognitive verifier
Not every owner waits to be found. Some post their land in online classifieds and marketplace sites, and some answer an ad that says you buy land. Both run the same risk in opposite directions. Your own ad can promise things you cannot back: 'top dollar', 'close in 7 days', 'we buy anything'. And a scan of other people's posts can talk you into a bargain that rests on a number nobody wrote down. The cognitive verifier handles both: break the task into sub-questions, answer each from what is pasted, then re-check. For the ad: which claims can you support? For each post: what does it actually state, which of your hard gates does it pass, and which part of your spread test is missing a figure? A post whose spread depends on a comp you have not pulled is not a bargain. It is a phone call to make after the comp pull, and the model says so.
Two jobs. 1: draft a short land-wanted ad and check every claim in it against my notes. 2: screen these posts against my buy-box. For each, quote what the post states, mark each gate PASS, FAIL or UNKNOWN, set up my spread test with my own threshold and my own comp figures only, then re-check and downgrade anything resting on a missing figure. Call nothing a deal.
2 · Your turn. You write the prompt
You run a land-wanted ad on two classifieds sites and also read the land posts on them each morning. Today there are five posts in Quillan and Oxbow counties. You have a comp figure for Oxbow only. Your old ad said 'we pay top dollar, close in 7 days'. Write the prompt that fixes the ad and screens the posts without inventing a comp.
Write the prompt for this scenario as given, or swap in a real one from your own work. The score works the same either way.
Remember: the AI sees only your prompt, not this page. If the situation isn't in your prompt, it doesn't exist.
Optional. These shape the output when you run your prompt below, not your score.
