Write the SOP from how you already do it

Lesson 1 of 6 · Run it like a shop

1 · Learn the move · Flipped interaction

You already have the process. It lives in your head and it runs every time a mailer comes back as a phone call. The mistake is asking a model to 'write an SOP for handling seller calls', which returns a generic procedure for a business that is not yours, full of steps you do not take and missing the three you always do. Flip it. Tell the model to interview you, one question at a time, about the last time you actually did the task, and to write nothing until the questions run out. It asks, you answer from memory, and the SOP that comes out is your process with its gaps showing. The rule that keeps it honest: every step in the finished SOP traces to an answer you gave, and any step where you said 'it depends' becomes a decision point reading [NEEDS: my rule], not a rule the model made up for you.

I want an SOP for how I handle an inbound call from a mailer. Do not write it yet. Interview me one question at a time about the last call I actually handled, start to finish. When you have enough, write the SOP using only my answers. Any step I was vague about reads [NEEDS: my rule].

2 · Your turn. You write the prompt

You are about to hand inbound calls to someone else for the first time, and the process exists only in your head. Last Tuesday a woman called about a letter on a tract in Quillan County and you handled it the way you always do. Write the prompt that pulls that call out of your memory and turns it into a written procedure.

Write the prompt for this scenario as given, or swap in a real one from your own work. The score works the same either way.

Remember: the AI sees only your prompt, not this page. If the situation isn't in your prompt, it doesn't exist.

Optional. These shape the output when you run your prompt below, not your score.
