Gaps and gores between parcels you meant to combine
Lesson 4 of 6 · Title, survey and the whole block
1 · Learn the move · Verified-data override
Two lots that sit side by side on the county map may not touch in the record. The map line is a drawing someone made from the deeds and tidied up. The deeds are what was actually conveyed, written decades apart by different surveyors from different starting points, and where their calls fail to meet there can be a strip nobody bought or a strip two people did. The model cannot tell you which you have. It cannot plot bearings reliably and it should not try. What it can do is hold the order of authority: the recorded descriptions override the map, the surveyor overrides both, and the model's own reading comes last. Its job is to set the calls for each shared line side by side, quoted, flag every place they differ as text, and say what any arithmetic on two quoted numbers is not.
The recorded legal descriptions below override the county map layer, and the surveyor overrides both. For each line my two parcels are supposed to share, quote both deeds' calls side by side. Mark bearing, distance, monuments, adjoiners and qualifiers MATCH, DIFFERS or ONLY IN ONE. Do not plot, measure, or say whether there is a gap or overlap. List the surveyor's questions.
2 · Your turn. You write the prompt
You have 22-0615-009 and 22-0615-010 in Nantle under contract from two sellers, closing the same week into one new LLC, to hold as a single assemblage. The whole point is that they touch. The county map layer shows one clean shared line. The 1994 description for 009 calls its east line 'thence North 02 degrees East 410.00 feet to an iron pin'. The 1988 description for 010 calls its west line 'thence South 01 degrees 30 minutes West 402.5 feet, more or less, to the Moss line'. Write the prompt that sets those against each other without pretending to be a surveyor.
Write the prompt for this scenario as given, or swap in a real one from your own work. The score works the same either way.
Remember: the AI sees only your prompt, not this page. If the situation isn't in your prompt, it doesn't exist.
Optional. These shape the output when you run your prompt below, not your score.
